Vice Minister of Education Chen Jie met with Clifton Grima, Malta’s Minister for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation on April 29 in Beijing.

Chen commended the progress made in recent years by the two countries in promoting inter-school communication, innovative cooperation in languages, and student exchange, following Chinese President Xi Jinping’s reply to a letter from the teachers and students of St. Margaret College Secondary School in Malta. Chen said that China will enhance its partnership with Malta, contributing to the mutually beneficial collaboration between the two countries in areas such as language teaching, higher education, and youth exchange.

Grima expressed his admiration for the achievements in Sino-Malta educational exchange and said he looked forward to increasing policy communication, expanding cooperation, and achieving common development.
