He met with Singapore’s Minister of Education Chan Chun Sing and visited the National University of Singapore, the National Research Foundation of Singapore, the Campus for Research Excellence and Technological Enterprise (CREATE), and other higher education institutions. He also held discussions with renowned scientists in Singapore, witnessed the signing of cooperation agreements between high-level universities of both countries to initiate joint scientific research projects, and conducted an inspection tour of the Smart Sunshine School operated by the Chinese Embassy in Singapore.

Huai’s visit aims to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of China and Singapore and the outcomes of the Sino-Singapore bilateral cooperation mechanism meetings, and to clarify the key areas and pathways for educational collaboration between the two countries in the future. The two sides exchanged views and achieved consensus on a range of topics, including promoting extensive partnerships between primary and middle schools in both countries, enhancing high-level interuniversity cooperation in areas such as talent training, technological innovation and technology transfer, supporting the active participation of businesses, and further increasing exchanges of students, faculty, scholars, principals, and other personnel. Both sides looked forward to jointly promoting high-quality, forward-looking educational cooperation, to help deepen mutual understanding and trust among the younger generations of the two countries and facilitate mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
