The China–Kyrgyzstan Institute of Outstanding Engineers, co-founded by Xinjiang University, Xi’an Jiaotong University, and Kyrgyzstan State Technical University, was inaugurated in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, on August 30. Education Minister Huai Jinpeng delivered a video address.

Huai said that, under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Sadyr Japarov, bilateral relations between China and Kyrgyzstan have entered their best period in history, with fruitful outcomes in various fields, especially in education. He noted that the new joint institute represents another milestone in China–Kyrgyzstan educational cooperation, offering joint master’s and doctoral programs in green mining and smart energy.

Huai expressed hope that the institute would forge closer ties with the industrial sector so as to cultivate excellent engineers equipped with both hands-on experience and a global outlook. He also encouraged the institute to set an example in talent development for other Central Asian countries, in an effort to boost regional economic development.

Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Science, Higher Education and Innovation Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva and Chinese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Liu Jiangping attended the event.
