Vice Minister of Education Ren Youqun met with Tunisian Minister of Education Noureddine Nouri recently in Beijing, while Nouri was in China for the 2026 Global Smart Education Conference.

Ren spoke highly of Sino-Tunisian educational cooperation. He said that China would enhance political dialogue and strategic engagement with Tunisia in basic education. He expressed China’s willingness to support the introduction of Chinese language programs in more Tunisian primary and secondary schools and to assist in upgrading school facilities for smart education.

Nouri said that Tunisia attaches great importance to its educational cooperation with China. He also said that his country would like to strengthen ties with China, draw on China’s best practices in talent cultivation, and continue to promote mutual language learning and cultural exchange.
