Vice Minister of Education Wang Jiayi visited Australia from June 9–12.

During his visit, Wang attended the launch ceremony of the China–Australia Program for Youth Exchange (CAPYE), a platform designed to foster regular exchanges between Chinese and Australian youth. He also met with Meg Brighton, Deputy Secretary of the Australian Department of Education. The two sides discussed and reached consensus on enhancing practical cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation and joint research and educational programs, advancing policy dialogues on basic education and AI-enabled education, promoting student and scholar exchanges, and preparing for the Seventh Meeting of the China–Australia Joint Working Group on Education.

While in Australia, Wang visited the Presbyterian Ladies’ College in Sydney and held a symposium with Chinese scholars studying and working in Australia.
