Vice Minister of Education Wang Guangyan met with Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training, during the 2026 World Digital Education Conference in Hangzhou on May 12. The two sides exchanged views on further strengthening educational cooperation between China and Pakistan.

Wang said China and Pakistan are all-weather strategic cooperative partners with a solid foundation for cooperation in education. He said China is ready to work with Pakistan to deepen educational exchange and provide stronger talent support for the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor and the development of a closer China–Pakistan community with a shared future.

Siddiqui thanked China for its long-standing support for Pakistan’s education. He said Pakistan is willing to learn from China’s experience in digital education, expand educational cooperation, and train more young people to carry forward friendship between the two countries.
