Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng met with Mark Scott, Vice Chancellor and President of the University of Sydney, in Beijing on April 20.
Huai spoke highly of the outcomes of collaboration between the University of Sydney and Chinese higher education institutions. He gave an overview of China’s key priorities for education during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, reaffirming China’s commitment to expanding international educational cooperation. He welcomed the university’s joint programs with Chinese partners and expressed hope that both sides will advance AI-enabled educational transformation, deepen cooperation in talent development and research innovation, and achieve more substantive results.
Scott said that the University of Sydney attaches great importance to its partnerships with Chinese universities and is willing to enhance collaboration through joint academic and research programs, elevating educational cooperation between the two sides to a new level.
