Vice Minister of Education Du Jiangfeng met with Frances Adamson, Governor of South Australia, and her delegation in Beijing on April 14.
Du spoke positively of the progress in educational cooperation between China and South Australia and commended Governor Adamson for her long-standing efforts to promote bilateral exchange and people-to-people ties. He noted that China–Australia relations have continued to develop steadily and said the MOE stands ready to work with South Australia to explore more institutionalized dialogue mechanisms in the field of education. He also highlighted opportunities to expand youth exchange, strengthen joint research, and enhance collaborative training programs. Du expressed support for the continued development of Chinese language education in Australia and for broadening practical cooperation in the education sector.
Adamson said South Australia attaches great importance to its relationship with China and stands ready to further deepen cooperation in areas such as joint educational programs, research collaboration and two-way student mobility. She added that South Australia looks forward to contributing to closer educational exchange between the two sides.
