Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng visited Switzerland from March 22 to 24. The visit aimed to implement the 2026 consensus between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Swiss Confederation President Guy Parmelin, reached during the celebration of the tenth anniversary of the Sino-Swiss innovative strategic partnership. It also sought to deepen educational exchange and cooperation between the two countries.

During his stay, Huai met with Swiss President Parmelin and co-chaired the Sixth China-Switzerland Education Policy Dialogue with Swiss State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation Martina Hirayama. The two sides held in-depth discussions on expanding practical cooperation in talent training, research innovation, and the commercialization of research results. They also exchanged views on developing mechanisms to advance collaboration in basic education, teacher education, and artificial intelligence education, as well as means of promoting academic and student exchanges. Several agreements were reached.

Huai also met with the president of the International School Sport Federation and visited institutions including École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, the University of Geneva, and Collège Calvin. He engaged in discussions with local government officials, scholars, and industry representatives.
