Vice Minister of Education Xu Qingsen recently met with Karen O’Brien, President of Durham University, in Beijing. 

Xu welcomed the establishment of a joint institute by Durham University and Wuhan University. He encouraged the two universities to work closely to ensure the institute’s success by leveraging their respective strengths in different fields.

O’Brien thanked the Chinese government for providing active support for the two universities’ cooperation. She also expressed Durham’s willingness to further strengthen cooperation with other universities in China in talent cultivation.
