Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng met with his counterparts from six countries — Uzbekistan, Norway, Slovakia, Finland, Egypt, and Pakistan — on the sidelines of the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference held in Uzbekistan from October 31 to November 2.
During the meetings, Huai discussed expanding cooperation in higher education, scientific research, and youth exchange programs. He emphasized China’s commitment to strengthening government-to-government dialogue and supporting universities in cultivating high-caliber talent and advancing joint research. Together with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Preschool and School Education, Huai signed an agreement on introducing Chinese language teaching in Uzbek schools.
The minister also attended the Second China–Uzbekistan Hundred Schools Cooperation Forum and delivered a keynote speech. The forum aimed to promote joint talent training, exchanges among teachers and students, and the development of mutually beneficial cooperation platforms to advance China–Uzbekistan educational collaboration.
