Vice Minister of Education Wang Jiayi met with Leonz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), in Beijing on June 16.

Wang praised the longstanding practical cooperation between FISU and China in areas such as event hosting and youth exchange, which have helped young people from different countries deepen mutual understanding through sports. He also expressed support for the successful organization of the FISU University Football World Cup and other major sports competitions.

Leonz commended China’s sustained efforts and remarkable achievements in international exchange in university sports. He said that FISU will continue to support the development of university sports in China and looks forward to further exchange and cooperation with China.
