Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng visited two Ministry of Education (MOE) affiliated institutions — the Center for Student Services and Development (CSSD) and the Center for Funding Supervision and Management (CFSM) — on March 31. During his visit, he presided over a symposium focusing on employment for university graduates and education funding. He also specified upcoming tasks for the two centers.

Huai reiterated the Central Government’s emphasis on aligning talent cultivation with the needs of economic and social development. He stressed the importance of developing a national big data platform to match talent supply with market demand. Specifically, he suggested that the CSSD analyze existing employment data and build a robust database covering categories such as academic disciplines, market trends, and career development. He said the CSSD should strengthen its real-time monitoring of the job market and conduct research on future trends. Additionally, it should provide scientific evidence for the development of academic disciplines in higher education to better support national strategies and regional economic development. Furthermore, he said the CSSD should provide guidance on how local authorities and enterprises can jointly coordinate supply and demand in order to provide personalized and intelligent employment counseling for graduates.

Regarding education funding, Huai emphasized the need to increase government investment in education and optimize resource allocation. He expressed hope that the CFSM would enhance its funding supervision mechanism by creating tighter regulations and establishing higher standards.
