MOE holds conference to push forward education supervision

The Ministry of Education (MOE) recently held a conference in Ningde, Fujian Province, to lay out this year’s key education supervision tasks, in accordance with the 2024–2035 Master Plan on Building China into a Leading Country in Education and its accompanying Three-Year Action Plan. Vice Minister of Education Wang Jiayi attended the conference and delivered an address.

The meeting proposed specific tasks in three areas: 1) supervision of education authorities and educational institutions; 2) evaluation; and 3) monitoring. It also stressed the need to align task implementation with the goal of promoting well-rounded education. In addition, the meeting discussed measures to continuously improve educational supervision mechanisms and strengthen supervisory teams.

During the conference, representatives from Beijing, Shanghai, and six provinces, as well as officials from the Secretariat of the Chinese Education Association and the MOE’s Education Quality Evaluation Agency, shared their insights.
