The Ministry of Education (MOE) held a consultation with the Qinghai Provincial Government in Beijing on March 27. Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng, Secretary of the Qinghai Provincial Committee of the CPC Wu Xiaojun, and Qinghai Governor Luo Dongchuan attended the consultation and delivered speeches.

Huai acknowledged the significant progress made by the Qinghai Provincial Government in advancing the high-quality development of education. He said that the MOE would cooperate with the province to enhance the comprehensive reform of the education system, ensuring that education continues to support economic development. He encouraged Qinghai to strengthen moral education and deepen awareness of national solidarity. He urged the province to facilitate the development of high-level research institutes, improve the cultivation of top-tier talent, and bolster the integration of education, scientific research, and innovation in industries involved with exploitation of the Qinghai Salt Lake, new energy, and new materials — all pillar industries in the region. He also encouraged the province to expand collaboration with China’s eastern regions, optimize the allocation of educational resources, and further boost digital transformation in the education sector.

Secretary Wu and Governor Luo expressed their gratitude to the MOE for its long-term generous support for Qinghai’s educational system. They introduced Qinghai’s latest breakthroughs, such as establishing two new colleges; facilitating digital transformation of basic education; and pushing forward comprehensive reform of the education system. They pledged to work closely with the MOE to implement the MOE-Qinghai strategic cooperation agreement.
