Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng led a delegation to the headquarters of the Chinese Peasants’ and Workers’ Democratic Party (CPWDP) to discuss advancing China’s educational reform and fostering collaboration on Jan. 24. CPWDP Chairman He Wei and Vice Chairman Yang Zhen met with the visiting delegation.
He Wei praised the MOE’s efforts in implementing President Xi Jinping’s directives on educational reform, particularly the progress made toward building China into an educational powerhouse. He emphasized the critical role of education in nurturing talent and driving scientific innovation in support of national rejuvenation. The chairman called for a focus on expanding basic education, enhancing the global competitiveness of China’s higher education, and integrating education, science, and talent development.
Huai expressed gratitude for the CPWDP’s longstanding support for the MOE. He acknowledged its valuable contributions through policy advice, research, and oversight, which have helped significantly bolster the quality of education at all levels. Huai reaffirmed the MOE’s commitment to advancing the national education strategy with targeted reforms and pilot programs. The minister encouraged further dialogue and collaboration to address strategic priorities and challenges in the field of education.
The two sides also exchanged ideas on integrating moral education and healthcare into the broader education framework.
