Vice Minister of Education Wang Guangyan met with President of University College London (UCL), Michael Spence on Nov. 25.
Wang said that China and the UK view each other as important educational partners. He spoke highly of UCL for its strong research capabilities. He encouraged it, as one of the world’s top universities, to expand results-based cooperation with Chinese universities and research institutions, including increasing student exchange programs jointly with these institutions.
Spence said that UCL is willing to enhance its cooperation with China in various areas such as basic research, language teaching, and digital education. He added that his university would actively explore new ways of cooperation with its Chinese counterparts to deal with global challenges.
