China launched this year’s Vocational Education Week on May 8.

During the event, ten state agencies including the MOE will take the lead in organizing 15 types of national-level activities. At the same time, other regular and local context-specific activities will be held across the country.

Because this is the first Vocational Education Week after the promulgation of the Vocational Education Law of the People’s Republic of China, various publicity activities will be conducted to promote the Law during the week. It was reported that MOE would hold a special campaign for promoting the Law on May 9. Wide publicity will also be given to topics such as policies regarding vocational education, reform outcomes and exemplary individuals and working groups in vocational education, as well as the role of vocational education in supporting socio-economic development.

Given the impact of the present pandemic, this year’s event will be more adaptable to local conditions, in terms of both the schedule and the form of activities.
