During the event, five cooperation agreements on education were signed between the Ministry of Education of China and education authorities of central and eastern European countries including Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania and Slovakia.
Remarkable progress has been achieved in educational cooperation and exchange between China and central and eastern European countries over the past few years, especially in the areas of student exchange, inter-school cooperation, training, language teaching and mutual recognition of academic degrees and diplomas. Close collaboration in the education sector will lay solid foundations for the further rapid and robust development of this regional cooperation mechanism.
