A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Chinese Ministry of Education and Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany on Further Promotion of Industry-School Integration and the Cooperation in Dual-System Vocational Education and Application-Oriented Talent Training was signed in September 2020.

The MoU is an important step towards realizing the goal of expanded Sino-German cooperation in vocational education set by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany. Focusing on the needs of schools and industry, the MOE and Bosch will jointly endeavor to bring quality vocational education resources from German companies to vocational schools and professional undergraduate colleges in China, to improve training in intelligent manufacturing, vehicle engineering, IT and other specialized areas and to trial a more in-depth collaboration model between schools and industry that is required as part of the reform and development of China’s vocational education and the establishment of a modern vocational education system.
