MOE launches School Hygiene Campaign in four locations

On the afternoon of June 23, the MOE officially unveiled the “School Hygiene Campaign” simultaneously in four primary and secondary schools in Zhejiang, Guangdong and Jiangxi Provinces and Shanghai. The campaign was launched in response to President Xi Jinping’s latest call for extensive measures to promote public health, and in order to improve school sanitation and raise students’ hygiene awareness.

At the Huangpu District First Central Primary School, organizers created cartoon images to disseminate health knowledge and raise awareness of a hygienic, healthy, green, and environmentally-friendly lifestyle among teachers and students.

At Xuejun Primary School in Hangzhou, Li Lanjuan, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a member of the High-Level Expert Group under the National Health Commission, shared her experience fighting against the novel coronavirus and provided expert guidance on implementing the Campaign for schools across Zhejiang via video conference.

At the launch ceremony held at Zhixin Middle School in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, student representative Yuan Yiling urged fellow students to develop a healthy and productive lifestyle, and pursue moral, intellectual, physical and aesthetic development. At the Mao Zedong Red Army School in Jiangxi Province, teacher representative Wang Junling encouraged teachers and students to work together to move the campaign forward and to build a green,clean campus.
