China's MOE recently signed a 2020-2023 Educational Cooperation Agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Bulgaria, which covers scholarships for exchange students, language teaching, higher HEI research collaboration and cooperation in other areas.

China has maintained close cooperation with Bulgaria in recent years in the field of education. Reflecting new trends and requirements for educational exchanges between the two countries in the new era, the signing of this agreement will deepen Sino-Bulgarian relations and strengthen multilateral ties between China and Central and Eastern Europe in the field of educational cooperation and exchange.
