On November 6, Minister of Education Chen Baosheng met with Kim Sung Du, chairman of the Education Commission of North Korea. Chen spoke highly of the achievements made through educational exchanges and collaboration between China and North Korea. Both sides exchanged views on how to reinforce the mutual compatibility of the two countries’ educational policies, promote exchange programs for students and scholars, enhance communication among higher education institutions and step up cooperation in language teaching.

After the meeting, Chen and Kim jointly signed the China-North Korea Education Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (2020-2030).
