On August 20, Vice Education Minister Weng Tiehui met with the CEO of Holtzbrinck Publishing Group from Germany Dr. Stefan von Holtzbrinck. Weng introduced China’s recent achievements in higher education, especially regarding implementation of the “Double First-Class” initiative. Both sides exchanged views on how to promote cooperation in academic research and evaluation of disciplines by using big data and other advanced information technologies.
