On May 16 and 17, Education Minister Chen Baosheng met with ministers from five countries on the occasion of the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence & Education: Jernej Pikalo, Minister of Education, Science and Sport of Slovenia; Anatole Makosso, Minister of Primary and Secondary Education and of Literacy of the Republic of the Congo; Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt; Imad al-Azab, Education Minister of Syria; and Arayik Harutyunyan, Minister of Education and Science of Armenia.

Chen spoke highly of the achievements made through educational exchanges with each of these countries, and all parties reached a consensus on how to promote artificial intelligence and education, student exchange programs, cooperative educational partnerships and physical education.

A Memorandum of Understanding on Educational Cooperation between China and Egypt was signed between Chen Baosheng and Khaled Abdel Ghaffar.
