On the morning of May 13, Vice Education Minister Tian Xuejun met with a Japanese delegation led by governor of Aichi Prefecture Hideaki Omura, whose member included Japan's ex-prime minister, Yukio Hatoyama.

Tian commended the constructive role that the Aichi government had played in promoting bilateral education exchanges over the years. Both sides had a full and in-depth exchange of views on how to conduct further cooperation in the fields of campus entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, geriatric care, joint training, and student exchanges.
