On May 8, an industrial robotics competition in the vocational college student category was held at the Tianjin Vocational College of Mechanics and Electricity.

Held in four separate sessions, contestants used industrial robots they had built, to perform a number of specialized tasks in four hours, including installing mechanical and electrical systems, calibration and instructional programming, setting up of communications equipment and operational programming, visual system programming and debugging, and AGV and palletizing robot programming and debugging, as well as general tasks, such as networked operation of intelligent workstations and performance of specific manufacturing processes.
