In a laboratory of the Zhou Yiqing Building at Zhejiang University, Ms. Yu Chaonan from the Qiushi Academy for Advanced Studies is showing how the behavior of a rat can be controlled by stimulating the rat’s sensory cortex with a micro-current device to produce “virtual touch”. To gain firsthand insight into entrenched problems faced by China’s educational system, staff from the MOE Public Information Office visited Zhejiang University on June 7, to examine how the AI Innovation Action Plan for Higher Education Institutions has been implemented in the university, as part of a communications campaign entitled “Education Endeavor 1+1”.
