WANG Jiayi, Han ethnicity, was born in December 1965. He has a postgraduate education and holds the degree of Doctor of Education, Communist Party of China (CPC) member.

He is currently alternate member of the 20th CPC Central Committee, member of the CPC Leading Group, Vice Minister and National Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Education.
