On May 7, the Technical & Vocational Education & Training (TVET) International Conference 2018 on the theme of “enhancing industry-education Integration and promoting vocational education cooperation with Belt and Road countries”, was held at the Tianjin Vocational Institute.

The event attracted over 260 participants from India, Indonesia, Thailand, Syria, Pakistan and Britain, representatives from international organizations including UNESCO and the World Bank, and Chinese government officials, industry professionals and vocational school faculty staff.

The conference was hosted by the Central Institute for Vocational and Technical Education of the Ministry of Education and the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, organized by the Ningbo Polytechnic College and the Tianjin Vocational Institute, and co-organized by the National Joint Conference of Vocational & Technical College Presidents and the Belt and Road Initiative Industry and Education Collaboration Alliance.
