On January 7, Vice Minister of Education Tian Xuejun met with his Iranian counterpart Mr. Alireza Kazemi.

Tian applauded the achievements born of exchanges between China and Iran, and the central importance given by Iran to communication with China in the field of education. Mr. Kazemi congratulated China on the remarkable progress made in education over the four decades since its opening up in the late 1970s, and expressed his wish for the two nations to pursue work together in the field of education by drawing on each other’s experience. The two sides exchanged views on how to further teacher exchanges, communication between Chinese and Iranian universities, and cooperation in vocational education.
