On October 23, Vice-minister of Education Tian Xuejun met with Ms. Ruth V. Watkins, President of the University of Utah.

After acclaiming the exchanges and cooperation between the University of Utah and Chinese higher education institutions, both sides expressed their wish to further their work together in areas of international exchange, physical education in schools, Confucius Institute and joint education programs, with a view to promoting Sino-American educational cooperation and people-to-people exchange.
