On January 30, the Vice Minister of Education Tian Xuejun met with Joseph W. Polisi, President of The Juilliard School, New York.

Tian applauded the alliance between Juilliard and the Tianjin Conservatory of Music, and encouraged the New York school to step up its cooperation to make the Tianjin Juilliard School a model for Sino-US educational collaboration grounded in introducing the Julliard’s outstanding teaching methods and resources to China, opening the way for better and broader training of gifted students in China and Asia as a whole.
