Chen Baosheng, China’s minister of education, met with Maja Makovec Brencic, minister of education, science and sport of Slovenia in Beijing on Oct 12 and indicated that China will enhance language teaching cooperation with Slovenia.

Chen acknowledged the fruitful results obtained from two parties’ education exchange and cooperation and said that China is willing to work in close coordination with Slovenia to further reinforce interschool communication, regional study and language teaching cooperation.

Brencic indicated that Slovenia is also willing to deepen Slovenia-Chinese cooperation and further promote the growth of Slovenia-Chinese education cooperation.

At the end of the conference, the two parties signed a memorandum of understanding regarding education cooperation between them.
