Chen Baosheng, China’s education minister, met with Katerina Valachova, minister of education, youth and sport for the Czech Republic in Beijing on Oct 12 and indicated that China is willing to work closely with the Czech Republic to further strengthen vocational education exchanges.

Chen welcomed Valachova, who had been invited to attend a China-EU Education Ministers Conference and the Fourth Education Policy Dialogue with Central and Eastern Europe.

Chen said that China is willing to work in close coordination with the Czech side to further strengthen interschool communications and explore cooperation opportunities in campus sport and art.

Valachova expressed her willingness to work with China to elevate Czech-Chinese education cooperation to a new level.

The two parties also signed an intention to mutually recognize academic credentials and degrees at the meeting.
